Welcome to seafelt Configuration Manager
seafelt Configuration Manager, or SCM, is a flexible tool to aid site administrators in managing the configuration of multiple device types across their environment.
Features
SCM can manage multiple device types, simultaneously
You can manage the configuration of your NetApp filers, Cisco switches and Unix servers, all with the one tool.
SCM has a highly flexible, dynamic rule based auditing component.
You can set up a series of rules that your devices' configurations are checked against. Any devices that break the rules can be listed in a report. This makes it much easier to guard against configurations that drift from the standards you've developed, possibly to the point where the device no longer works after a reboot.
The auditor also supports database queries, so if you maintain configuration information in some sort of Configuration Management Database (CMDB), SCM can audit it. Or any other database, for that matter.

Integrated alarming
You can have SCM raise alarms in your existing enterprise alarming tool when audit rules fail, thanks to SCM's SNMP trap capability.
